Modular and Container Homes

It is hard to think about modular or container homes.  If you are planning on getting into home ownership you have a few things to consider.  How much money do you have for a downpayment on a  home, have you been prequalified by your Bank to know how much you can afford.  What is your expected purchase price and your monthly payment.

Let the Linda Pinizzotto Real Estate Group explain the various types forms of housing

Cheaper to build a house or buy a modular home

While modular homes can be cheaper to build, you'll typically find that their appreciation and resale value is much lower than a stick built home. ... On this same note, modular homes are typically lower cost compared to stick built homes since they are often built in bulk and shipped out to customers across the country.

Modular homes can be cheaper to build but remember the resale value and the appreciation of the home is much lower.  The reason?  Modular homes are lower costs to build because they are bulk and shipped out to customers across the country.   Years ago they used to callthen pre-fab homes.  They are built at a factory in a matter of weeks because there are no weather delays.  Traditional homes are built in months since.

  • Use a professional builder and consider including a concrete foundation
  • Is a basement necessary, in the true world of value, it is important to have a full basement
  • full access control of your home security alarm systems
  • supply, install and service your Smart Home connections
  • don't consider building if you don't have have a budget to complete the build
  • consider the other costs, survey the land and make sure you have the proper building permits
  • don't skimp on doing the job properly with qualified insured tradesman
  • check credentials and consider good referrals for your builder, talk to the LPreal estate Group
