Real Estate Sales Representative and Seasoned Registered Relocation Specialist

Linda Pinizzotto began her real estate career in 1979, over 35 years ago.  She was working in the corporate world at Atomic Energy as their Engineering Liaison for New Brunswick Power, after having left Kodak Canada in 1976 when she moved to Mississauga from Toronto.  She realized that she wanted a career with more flexibility.   Linda was looking to have a family, and a real estate career would allow her to be close to home and give her the opportunity to raise her children yet still be able to work.   When Linda’s first deal was a double ender representing both the sellers and the buyers, she knew she chose the right career.  It wasn’t easy in the early 80’s, Linda’s s first son was born in January 1980 and she had 2 more sons by 1984.   Most would consider Linda’s passion to be a great mom and also be successful in her real estate career an enormous challenge back at that time before we had computers and the MLS system didn’t exist. “Offers had to be typed twice because the print wouldn’t get through 6 copies” says Linda who used to carry a typewriter in the trunk of  her car.   It was interesting times, interest rates were at an all time high in 1981, the market had a shift in 1985 and then the real estate market took a huge hit in late 1989 – 1990.

Linda was running selling homes, representing buyers and sellers plus raising a family and travelling back and forth with her sons while they played rep hockey and baseball.   She enjoyed helping others so she squeezed in coaching basketball, t-ball and baseball when she wasn’t volunteering at her son’s schools for special activities and play days.    Linda has years of volunteerism in minor sports throughout her real estate career.  She was a Director with the Lorne Park Baseball and Hockey Association and later she would become the first female Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) Juvenile Convenor for the Lorne Park Baseball Association and first female General Manager of the Junior B Stoney Creek Spirits Hockey Association of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA)

Enjoy the Power of Experience

In the meantime, all 3 of Linda’s sons excelled when they played in the OBA Ontario Baseball Association Rep leagues and AAA hockey in the Greater Toronto Hockey Leagues (GTHL).  Eventually their schedules would became to much and each of them had to make a choice of either hockey or baseball.   All of the boys chose hockey and they played on various AAA hockey teams until Bantam level when they were signed by the Oakville Blades Provincial Junior A hockey team.   Linda’s oldest son Jason, was a 3rd Round Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Draft Pick playing for the Barrie Colts and St. Michaels Majors.  Her other 2 other sons became the Captain of the Blades.   Steven her youngest son, received a Div 1  NCAA Hockey Scholarship from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) which lead to his NHL signing with the Washington Capitals.   Today Steven is an NHL hockey player signed with the Edmonton Oilers, his previous team being the Vancouver Canucks.

Linda’s decision to shift into a career in real estate also opened doors to investments.  She learned it was important to practice what she preached.  Linda’s commitment to her clients and her work ethic are unparalleled.  The same tenacity, endurance, commitment she taught her sons survived in her real estate career but she also believes in giving back to the community. “It has been a world wind with raising my family, my real estate career, hockey and volunteering ” says Linda, “I can’t imagine what it would be like without it;  it flies by.  I remember doing real estate deals at the rinks and on the baseball fields; I never did have to have an office and when computers and wifi came along it was more business on the road.  I have always believed that no challenge is too big and sometimes you just have to go with it.  I have received so much knowledge from the different ventures I have been involved with, I can help my clients with a wealth of information and advice on many levels and experiences.”

Linda Pinizzotto giving back to the Hockey World – P3 Sports

While selling Real Estate, Linda made a name for herself in the Hockey World as the first female General Manager in Junior Hockey.   Linda believed it was important to give back to the hockey world so she created P3Sports Entertainment   http://www.P3Sports.ca   and spearheaded a $70 Million Dollar proposal to build the Mississauga Major Hockey Spectator Arena, today it is called the Hershey Centre.

She created and financed a showcase called the P3 Sports Blue Chip Showcase  to help young aspiring athletes an opportunity to be drafted in the OHL.   It was the first Tournament in the History of Hockey to be sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association, Junior A, Junior B, Junior C and Junior D Development Leagues and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association to allow their draft eligible players to play in the Tournament over a 3 day period.  The showcase was sanctioned by the OHA and OHL and also accepted into the NHL Master Schedule each of the following years, 1st year Stoney Creek, 2nd Mississauga where Mayor Hazel McCallion dropped the puck and the final showcase in Gravenhurst, Ontario.  Dozens of young aspiring athletes were able to open doors at this showcase which has now lead them to professional hockey careers.  Every OHL Team was represented at the Showcase plus Scouts from the NHL Teams.    Insurance and Referees were provided by the Ontario Hockey Association at cost.   Linda secured sponsorships through CCM for the jerseys, socks and refreshments were sponsored by Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza.   The participants or spectators entry costs was FREE.   Many NHL players played in the P3 Sports Blue Chip Showcase.   http://lindapinizzotto.com/p3-sports-blue-chip

Linda Pinizzotto Condo Owners Association (COA)

www.COAontario.com   In March 2010, she recognized the need for a Province wide Association to represent and protect the “rights” of Condo Owners and make important necessary changes to the Condo Act and a number of other reforms.  She believed that better governance, accountability and operations of condominiums will provide a long term sustainability for all Home Owners because condominiums have a huge stake in the marketplace and inevitably can either provide a positive or  negative influence.

Today, Linda has succeeded in capturing the attention needed to make COA a household name and to work with our Provincial government as a stakeholder in the McGuinty Government decision to “Building a Better Condo Act” – scroll to the bottom of the page.  http://www.COAontario.com
